Hordebloods - Progress Report

So, a year in to the project, and I haven't quite accomplished as much as I would have liked. I've got plenty of excuses though... painting a model for last years Orange Crush fundraiser... and painting 6 models for Headshots from the Heart where we raised over $2000 for Childs Play. To make things more troublesome, you can also toss in a loss in the family, extended illness and a promotion / move.

The good news is, there HAS been progress, and rather than a bunch of posts spread out, here's the wrap up of where the Hordebloods stand. This version of the army has been good to me, and aside from a few more additions, is basically all I plan on rolling with for now. (Fennblades, Mountain King, Whelps and the new Shield-wall unit when they release are still on my wishlist, with possible Scattergunners as well...)

Already they bring fear to opponents and have been quite successful on the field of battle. I've won badges in local Privateer Press leagues and recently took 4th / 18 in a longer tournament. I've even managed to convert TheWife and 3 of my friends (and possibly a 4th) to the much more enjoyable game that is Hordes / Warmachine.

I do have plans to get back in the swing of things in the new year, that includes painting and tutorials.. focusing on building skills from the ground up, getting those Weekly Updates back out there... and another project. TheWife has her vision of how she wants her Legion of Everblight to look (quite entrancing, really) and I'll be doing them as well... which means a big nasty from time to time to break the Troll tedium.

Also, if there's interest, I mayyy be willing to auction my services for charity come Spring-time... we'll see... let me know.

So for your viewing pleasure, let me introduce you to...

Warcasters

The Beasts

The Muscle!

Buffs Pls

War Stompas

Heavy Cav

  1. Nice paint jobs, but the greenstuff takes best in show! I dig the Warcraft imagery.

  2. You've put a ton of work into those and they look great. Full on army conversions are never quick but well worth the effort once completed. Life never gives us a break but as long as you keep making progress you're doing well.

    1. Hey! Thanks! I went and read some of your stuff - welcome back to the Horde! Noooot, that I've played WoW in ages, but it's good to hear from non-Alliance scum ;)
