Hordebloods: Mauler Final

It's been a long couple days, but finally the Mauler is complete!

More airbrushing last night to finish off his skin and hair.

Followed that up today with lots of brush work.

I used a black wash to paint (not wash) details in his muscles and skin, accentuating things.

His wrist bands have jewels you'd normally see salons gluing to fingernails...

And I decided to paint the stones on his back after all, and I'm glad I did. Took me a while to figure out how I painted them, and TheWife suggested I go with a similar style to his fingernails.

Take a look at my Step by Step page for the entire Hordebloods project.

Here you will find each model broken down into links showing each step:
Concept, Works in Progress, (for both modelling and painting) and Final Shots

  1. Great work. The skin is smooth and the blending is great. The stones are well done. Everything is well done.
