But by default, these are just a bunch of guys wielding axes, and we can't have that... oh no, we can't have that...
First up, is making one of their faces undead. To accomplish this, I used a mini saw to cleanly cut away the bottom of his jaw, and cleaned it up with my hobby knife.
Green Stuff finishes off the job, with some better defined teeth, a tongue hanging limply, and a rougher larger cowl.
To replace one of the axes, I make a scythe out of some miniature packing cardboard. I covered the cardboard in super glue, which solidified. This allowed me to sculpt it some, by basically sharpening the blade edge.
So I've got this Silicon Carbide, which I found at Green Earth. (note: I've been in a few times and their pricing tends to be wrong, something they don't seem to correct, so you may find it more expensive than advertised, around $8 a tiny bottle)
It's a whole bunch of very small shards of a black rock-like substance... but it's not just black. Depending on how the light hits it, it reflects different colours. I decided to glue all these to his staff.
And here's how his staff ended up:
(how fantastically awesome does that look, eh?)
