Postapocalyptibuggy [Part 16]

The ongoing chronicle and my first attempt at posting Work In Progress shots, this is my entry for the Massive Voodoo Mad Max Car Competition. I'll list them all on my Step by Step page, or you can view the current WIP series.

I did a little more work on the rusting, as I wanted to cut back on some of the red.

Here's the bumper. I've done it a matte grey, rather than chrome.

I also brought the grey into the blue on the vehicle. I did this to add kind of a touch-up primer look to things. I also think this has helped the wheel covers pull in.

I've also painted up the canvas for the back of the bed, and this is where we stand.

The canvas meant a bunch of layering. Since the paper towel kept absorbing like a sponge, even with the black primer, I found it worked better by painting it while everything was still wet. This inundated it with pigment, which combined while it dried making a very natural look.
